- 8-year anniversary of ALPEIN Software SWISS AG
- Overview of PassSecurium™ progress in 2022
ALPEIN Software SWISS AG's annual review of 2022
The year 2022 was marked by a variety of influences. On the one hand, there was a noticeable easing of the Corona pandemic, but on the other hand, new difficulties arose due to global geopolitical problems. All these negative influences, accompanied in any case by the fight against climate change and the prevailing and continuing environmental problems, affected almost all areas of life and, of course, most businesses.
Against the background of these global difficulties, ALPEIN Software SWISS AG has succeeded in continuously developing in all areas, i.e. organisationally and in terms of IT security. Products, services, customer care and support have been continuously improved and optimised.
In doing so, Swiss hosting has always been in the foreground as an advantage. Companies of all sizes have recognised that due to the increasingly complex legal requirements for data protection, especially in matters of IT, data security and prevention, a reliable and competent partner is essential. This competence is complemented by the physical security of Switzerland's advantageous location with its political stability, strict data protection laws as well as its favourable business climate.
ALPEIN has also been permanently involved in all questions and developments of IT and data security with highly explosive publications, statements and PR articles.
However, the product PassSecurium™ has been at the forefront of all activities. Here are some of the successes and features that the company was able to realise in 2022:
Already at the beginning of Q2 2022, "PassSecurium" was presented on the Swiss TV format SRF among the 12 biggest and best-known password managers in the world.
This was followed in the same quarter by the introduction of the activity log function, which makes it possible to view a detailed history of user activities.
The customers' request for the possibility to save a backup on the local servers did not go unheard and also went online in the 2nd quarter.
In the 3rd quarter, ALPEIN realised the "design customisation" and enables business customers of the PassSecurium™ password manager to give their instance a very personal touch by customising the background, logo and the colours.
In Q4, the integration of new password templates was realised. A new step to improve the usability of PassSecurium™ as a result of the simplified handling of credentials.
The review of the first half of 2022 was already promising: orders grew, the niche of our password manager for companies in Switzerland expanded.
ALPEIN was also able to bring Professor Dr Marcel Waldvogel, who practised at the University of Constance among other places, on board as an important partner to work together on product developments.
But ALPEIN also continued to develop other products.
The JIRA2SAP interface has just been certified for SAP S/4 HANA and thus reached a remarkable milestone. The new customers acquired this year are also convinced by the connection of the two systems, because the biggest advantage is obvious: data consistency and bidirectional transmission of data in both directions and in real time.
It is worth taking a look at the new Jira2SAP™ presentation.
Finally, ALPEIN is opening the partnership with the new data centre "Stollen Luzern" as an additional backup or failover solution before the end of 2022. The data centre is owned by ewl energie wasser Luzern Holding, the leading energy service provider in the Lucerne area.
The team of ALPEIN Software SWISS AG wishes all customers and business partners peaceful days at the end of the year and a new year full of confidence and positive moments.
