ALPEIN Software SWISS AG's annual review of 2025

Like always, we're looking back on the past year as it comes to a close. 2025 was a busy and productive year for us.
In an environment characterized by structural changes and economic challenges for many companies, we focused on clear priorities in product development and market positioning.
We summarize the year as follows:
“2025 was a year in which we laid the foundation for further growth – with a clear focus on the continued development of our password manager as well as new and exciting SAP integrations for large customers. At the same time, we responded to a more demanding market environment and changing decision-making processes, explored new approaches, selectively expanded partnerships, and consistently strengthened marketing and sales.”
PassSecurium™: Focus on security, features and internationalization
Our PassSecurium™ Business Password Manager was consistently advanced in 2025. A key milestone was the implementation of a Translation Management System (TMS) to systematically expand product localization. The next language targets defined included French, Italian, and Spanish. Simultaneously, existing PassSecurium™ Premium customers, who previously used a separate user management system, were migrated to new premium instances with integrated user management.
In the area of client applications, our PassSecurium™ Windows Desktop App was completely rebuilt from a technical perspective. The new version is based on WebView2 and was released via the Microsoft Store (Windows App Store). Additionally, deployment and rollout processes were further optimized to make installations and updates more efficient and stable. For our PassSecurium™ customers, a Peer-to-Peer VPN (P2P VPN) was also introduced as an additional option for secure connections.
To support our growing partner network, we also introduced a PassSecurium™ Partner Portal in 2025. This gave partners the ability to manage customer instances centrally, conveniently, and flexibly – an important foundation for scalable operational and service models.
We are seeing a clear trend:
“More and more larger companies are opting for password manager solutions. We welcome this development, as an increasing number of organizations recognize the importance and value of professional and secure password management and are overcoming implementation hurdles despite sometimes challenging internal conditions.”
JIRA2SAP™: Focus on exciting use cases and marketplace presence
JIRA2SAP™ remained a central focus for us in 2025 as well. However, for many customers, internal transformation projects took precedence, such as the introduction of SAP S/4HANA or the migration of Jira to the cloud, which led to some planned customer projects being postponed to the following year. Nevertheless, numerous Jira-SAP integrations were implemented in 2025, and new use cases were realized.
SAP companies continue to rely on Jira to streamline and optimize internal processes. Atlassian is also now focusing on large enterprises, which means Atlassian partners lacking SAP expertise are now seeking out companies like us, which already have a solution for Jira-SAP integration. This has led to a series of new partnerships being formed with Atlassian partners.
Our marketplace presence was also further expanded: both the Atlassian Marketplace and the SAP Store were updated, and additional SAP templates were published, further improving discoverability and access for interested customers.
Continuous strengthening of product and internal security
Alongside the further development of our products, we continued to place great emphasis on IT and data security throughout the year – both within the solutions themselves and in internal processes. We published best practices, expanded support and partner programs, and emphasized the close link between product engineering and security consulting. This underscores our strategic focus on security-first solutions for SME and enterprise customers.
Active communication and publications
Our commitment to communication and public relations was particularly pronounced in 2025. Numerous publications and press articles were created to inform customers and interested parties about the latest developments and security requirements. The central platform for our publications remains the Swiss press portal "swissmadesoftware.org," which provides selected expert articles from us. The positive response was reflected both in the growing demand for our products and in high customer satisfaction.
We look ahead to the coming year with confidence and will continue to work with full energy to deliver innovative solutions and first-class services to succeed together with customers and product users.
